Butter, In All It's Cunning Disguises....

I've been inspired to post!  Whoa!

Thanks to Matushka Anna over at Praying With My Feet, whose post about humor reminded me of the following scene from "The Vicar of Dibley."

Now, The Professor and I do not share the same taste in humor. Although he HAS been known to laugh out loud every so often, he is a much more serious and reserved person. Fortunately for me, The Boy and I seem to share a similar sense of humor.  We both have a taste for British humor, puns, and knock-knock jokes. (Remember that interminable knock-knock joke that has you repeating "Banana who" a dozen times? Orange you glad I haven't repeated it here?)

In my extended family, though, I'M the one who is more reserved.  My mother's side of the family has a very unique sense of humor, and I'm more like my reserved Father's side of the family.  But I do love to laugh and I have wonderful memories of laughing a LOT at family get-togethers with my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.  We have a catalog of inside jokes and silly sayings that no one outside the family can truly appreciate.  The best thing about our family reunions is the laughter.  The last time all the girls got together we stayed up talking and laughing all night long... I think we finally went to sleep about 4 am.

That's me, in a paroxysm of laughter,  with my sister and a cousin @ 2 am.
Fun times and happy memories!
